19 people were selected as the 36th recipients of the Cha Bum-geun Soccer Award, which was designed to nurture promising Korean soccer players.

The Cha Bum-geun Football Award Committee announced on the 13th, "Chairman Cha Bum-geun and the committee selected a total of 19 winners, including 18 promising soccer players (16 men and 2 women) and one coach, through screening."

The awards ceremony will be held at the HW Convention Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 29th.

The Cha Bum-geun Soccer Award, established in 1988, is a youth soccer award that discovers and awards aspiring Korean soccer players who have performed excellently every year.

The Cha Bum-geun Football Award Committee selected the top 15% of players recommended online by 361 first-class youth leaders of the Korea Football Association (KFA) and judged the winners.

The committee operates a closed on-site review panel every year to improve the fairness of the review by rechecking candidates who are omitted.

After a final screening of the top 20% of players selected through advance voting and on-site screening, 18 youth awardees were selected.
