Participants in the 2024 Rookie Youth Winter Basketball Camp in Jeju' played a game against Ildo Elementary School players.
Basketball magazine Rookie prepared a youth winter basketball camp on Jeju Island from July 8 to 10. Participants, who enjoyed the scenery of Jeju Island while watching various tourist attractions on the first day of the camp, spent a day with basketball on the 9th.
In the morning, they visited the JAWS basketball class gym and played their own league game. The three-hour league game, which was divided into four teams, allowed participants to enjoy basketball to their heart's content and had a meaningful time.
In the following afternoon, there was a practice game against Ildo Elementary School, an elite basketball team. This time, they were divided into three teams and exchanged three games. Overall, they had one win and two losses. The young players, who lost 27-30 in the first game, won 22-18 in the second game, but lost 8-13 in the last game. The game was played for 10 minutes each before and after the second half.
"I was so glad and thankful that you came from far away. I think our team also had a great time playing practice games together. I hope we can continue to have good exchanges through this game," coach Kim Kyung-tae, who is leading the team, said.
Meanwhile, the camp participants will return to their homes after enjoying a fruitful tour of Jeju on the last 10 days.
