The new year has just started but operators and suppliers are putting effort into expanding their operations. This is the case for game studio Peter & Sons which has recently made its content available in Ontario’s regulated sector for online gambling. Its portfolio of premium digital casino titles is now accessible via platforms run by the internet operator SkillOnNet.

Back in April 2022, Ontario became the first Canadian jurisdiction to launch an open iGaming model for private operators. Since then, the market, overseen by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and iGaming Ontario, has reaped tremendous success, as its first-year numbers put it among the top five regulated online casino markets in North America.

SkillOnNet is the base platform for iGaming brands such as PlayOjo, GentingCasino and Slingo.com and has also teamed up with numerous game suppliers to launch content worldwide. The company debuted Slingo in Spain in July 2023 and MGA Games’ portfolio in Portugal in May 2023, while PG Soft’s portfolio went online in numerous jurisdictions in November 2023.

This latest integration of content from Peter & Sons in Ontario is yet another launch by the platform in the Heartland Province, after incorporating four of its brands in the province in June 2022. Also, in September 2022, the company saw the debut of its subsidiary Spin Genie. Titles from the studio such as Sweet Bonanza, Eye of Horus, and Book of Dead are now online in the local market.

P&S catalogue has been developed with the help of specialists, including mathematicians, musicians, and artists, ensuring the best possible product. Some of its most popular titles are Barbarossa, Book of Books and Wild One. Also, this is not the first time that the two parties have partners, as in January of 2023, SkillOnNet invested in the studio.

Head of Games at the operator, Jani Kontturi commented that the studio is a key partner to the company, which made the introduction of its games in Ontario a no-brainer. The official said the province is an important market and noted that the game creator loves innovation and produces titles rich in pop culture and humour, while also delivering entertainment for players.

Business Development Director and Co-Founder at P&S, Yann Bautista also shared a few words. He shared the studio’s excitement to enter a new and competitive market and reach a completely new set of players. Mr. Bautista remarked the firm has put its heart and soul into the development of the games and that its team is pleased to see the content reach Ontarian audiences.

Collaborating with Xpoint
It should be mentioned that SkillOnNet has also facilitated the launch of Xpoint in the province’s iGaming sector. In June 2022, the company’s real-money gaming geolocation product, Xpoint Verify was integrated with the gambling operator. Its tech allows brands to meet their regulatory requirements and also provides a safe and secure player engagement.
