A Newcastle fan traveling with his son to Italy to support the club in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) has been stabbed by an opposing fan.
Newcastle played AC Milan (Italy) to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their 2023-24 UCL group stage tie in San Siro, Italy, 한국야동 on Tuesday (June 20).
Newcastle fan Eddie McKay, 58, traveled to Milan with his son to support Newcastle in the UCL for the first time in 20 years when he was stabbed multiple times by an AC Milan fan before the match. McKay was rushed to nearby Policlinico Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
McKay's daughter, Rachel McKay, told British outlet Sky Sports: 성인웹툰 "My dad is thankfully not in a critical condition. But my brother, who was right next to him and watched him bleed out, has been very traumatized."
According to witnesses, the attacker was an AC Milan fan with his face covered by a mask, and it is not yet known if he was Italian or of another nationality.
"I can't understand why a Briton going to a soccer match should be attacked in Milan," Sky Sports said.
A spokesperson for Newcastle said: "We are deeply concerned by reports that a fan of ours was subjected to a horrific stabbing by a Milan fan. We will be in contact with the local authorities in Milan to seek a satisfactory punishment." 19가이드03
