Bayern Munich Germany and Liverpool England, which are looking for a new head coach to lead the team next season, have entered the match to recruit Coach Xavi Alonso Leverkusen Germany.

"Liverpool, Real Madrid Spain, Leverkusen and Munich are trying to keep Alonso," Bayern Munich's honorary chairman Uli Hönes said, according to the BBC.

Alonso leads Leverkusen 70 points to the top of the Bundesliga this season.

There is quite a gap with Bayern Munich 60 points, which is in second place.

Leverkusen, who has experienced five runner-up finishes, is nearing its first Bundesliga championship, and Alonso's contract with Leverkusen is until 2026.

"He has proven his ability," Honorary Chairman Hönes said of Alonso, adding, "There is no suitable leader who is not a current coach."

Munich, where national defender Kim Min-jae plays, has decided to end its accompaniment with coach Thomas Tuchel after this season.

Munich, which used to be an "absolute first-place" team, remains in second place in the Bundesliga, 10 points behind the leader Leverkusen, and suffered an early elimination in the second round after being shocked by the third-division Jarbrücken at the German Football Association DFB Pokal.

In the UEFA Champions League UCL, they will reach the quarterfinals and face Arsenal England in the first and second games next month.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp announced his intention to resign after the season in January, saying, "We ran out of energy."
