The LG Twins and KT Wiz, who are facing off in the Korean Series, have made a bold bid for the title.
The media day for the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO Korean Series was held at Jamsil Stadium on Nov. 6. LG was represented by manager Yeom Kyung-yup and captains Oh Ji-hwan and Im Chan-kyu, while KT was represented by manager Lee Kang-cheol and captains Park Kyung-soo and Park Young-hyun.
LG, which won the regular season title, traveled back and forth between Icheon and Jamsil for training camps and practice games during the three-week break, while KT, which finished the regular season in second place, completed a reverse sweep of the NC Dinos in the playoffs with three straight wins after losing two games to the Dinos to reach the Korean Series.

LG manager Yeom Kyung-yeop, who is looking to win the title for the first time in 29 years, said, "We will show what we showed in the regular season in the Korean Series, so we worked hard to prepare. We will make the things we prepared in practice into good results at the end so that we can smile with our fans."
"We had a very happy time after winning the regular season. We prepared thoroughly for the break. Our players are really confident. We will definitely give our fans the championship they want after 29 years."
For LG, both coaches and players expected a close Game 6. "KT gained experience by winning the unified championship two years ago, and they played well in the playoffs with solid power and starting baseball. In the regular season this year, we had the upper hand, but it was a tough game. We expected a seventh game, but we wanted it to end in six."

"I remember the media day before the season started," said KT manager Lee Kang-cheol, who is challenging for the title after two years. At that time, KT and LG were picked as the favorites to win the championship, and I'm grateful that we played well and lived up to their expectations. This is the first Korean Series to be held at KT Wiz Park, and we will prepare well to reach the top with our fans who have been supporting us passionately."
Park Kyung-soo added, "We had a poor start to the year, but we came together as a team and finished the season in second place. We had a difficult time in the playoffs, but we overcame it with a reverse sweep and came to the Korean Series. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the team. Unlike LG, KT expected a hard-fought Game 7. "I think the Korean Series is a marathon," said Lee. I think it will go to Game 7 because LG is a very strong team."
