Kim Chae-yeon (16, Surigo High School), a promising figure skating star, ranked high in the short program of the 5th Senior Grand Prix competition, revealing her prospects of winning a second consecutive medal.

Chae-yeon Kim received a total score of 35.00 points in technical score (TES) and 31.19 points in artistic score (PCS) in the short program of the 5th International Skating Federation (IS) Senior Grand Prix competition in the 2023-24 season held in Espoo, Finland on the 18th (Korean time). It scored 66.19 points.

As a result, Chae-yeon Kim ranked third after Kaori Sakamoto (69.69 points) and Leon Sumiyoshi (68.65 points? from Japan).

Kim Chae-yeon also showed outstanding skills in the free skating held on the 19th, and if she ranks in the top 3, she will succeed in winning medals in two consecutive competitions.

Kim Chae-yeon proved her potential by winning a silver and bronze medal at the Junior Grand Prix competition last season and then a bronze medal at the Grand Prix Final, where she competed. Kim Chae-yeon, who made her senior debut this season, won a silver medal at the second round of the Grand Prix held in Canada last month.

If Kim Chae-yeon wins a medal at this competition, she could also aim to advance to the Senior Grand Prix Final, a king-of-the-match competition in which only the top six players can participate.

Kim Chae-yeon successfully completed her first jump, a double axel, and received a score of execution (GOE) of 0.66.

However, in her second jump, the triple Lutz-triple toe loop combination jump, she was judged to be underrotated (when the rotation of the jump is less than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees), and her GOE was deducted by 1.01 points.
Kim Chae-yeon was no longer shaken. Kim Chae-yeon, who handled the following Flying Camel Spin at level 4, the highest difficulty, successfully completed her triple flip in the second half, adding to her GOE of 1.06 points. She later showed off difficult performances in spin and step sequences.

Yoo Young (19), who also competed, scored 33.35 points in TES and 30.11 points in PCS, ranking 4th with a total score of 63.46 points.

Yoo Young performed poorly in the first Grand Prix competition last month, finishing in 11th place out of 12 competitors. However, in this competition, she received a higher score than the previous short program (56.21 points) and set her sights on the top spot. 슬롯사이트
