LG Twins' Casey Kelly will stay with the team next year. He further solidified his position as the longest-serving foreigner.

The LG Twins announced on the 23rd, "We have re-signed foreign pitcher Casey Kelly. Kelly has agreed to a contract for the 2024 season for a total of $1.5 million ($400,000 signing bonus, $800,000 annual salary, $300,000 incentive)," the team announced. Kelly, who was making $1.8 million this year ($300,000 in incentives), took a $300,000 pay cut to remain with LG.

Kelly joined the LG Twins in 2019 and has pitched in 144 regular-season games over five seasons, posting a 68-38 record with a 3.08 ERA and 684 strikeouts.

In 2023, he appeared in 30 games and 178⅔ innings, posting a 10-7 record with a 3.83 ERA and 129 strikeouts. Kelly re-signed for the 2024 season, becoming the organization's longest-tenured foreign pitcher with six seasons under his belt. 온라인카지노

This will give him six years in stripes from 2019 to 2024. Previous foreign players who have spent more than six years in the KBO include Dustin Nippert (Doosan+KT, 8 years), Henry Sosa (KIA+LG+SK, 8 years), former Hanwha Jay Davis (7 years), former Nexen Andy Vanhecken (6 years) and Daniel Rios (KIA+Dusan, 6 years). Kelly now joins Vanhecken and Rios as the longest-serving foreigners.

"I'm looking forward to playing in front of our fans again next season," said Kelly. I felt the love of our fans again in the Korean Series, and I want to feel it again next year. I will prepare my teammates and myself to win the title next season and give our fans a great time. I love the LG Twins fans."

The club said, "With 68 career KBO wins, Casey Kelly is already a proven player. We are fortunate to have her in our starting rotation for the 24th season. He found his groove in the second half of last season, and we're excited for his 24th season. We look forward to rewarding our fans with a consistent performance."
