Jamaica's prime minister kept his promise and introduced a bill to Parliament that would legalize casino gambling on the island. It has continued to be controversial in the country, with opponents saying casino gambling would "destroy social fraud." However, supporters are touting the economic stimulus casinos can bring to help fight the extreme poverty that many residents of the island are experiencing.

There are already two steps forward in the hope that the bill will be passed. It is promised to be issued to Jamaica Celebration, one to the $5 billion Harmony Cove Resort in Trelawney and the other to work on the St. James Resort project. Congress will consider the new bill on Dec. 1.  슬롯머신
