Hwang Sun-woo breaks Korean record to win bronze in 200m freestyle.

Hwang Sun-woo (20-Gangwon Provincial Office) won bronze in the men's 200-meter freestyle at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships. He became the first South Korean swimmer in history to win back-to-back medals at the World Championships.

Hwang Sun-woo won bronze in the men's 200-meter freestyle final in 1:44.42 at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships on Friday afternoon at Fukuoka Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall in Fukuoka, Japan. Hwang's final time was 0.05 seconds better than the South Korean record of 1:44.47.

Hwang won a silver medal in the men's 200-meter freestyle last year in Budapest, Hungary, when he broke the Korean record with a time of 1:44.47. This marks the first time Hwang has won back-to-back medals at the World Championships. 고스톱 This is something that senior swimmer Park Tae-hwan has not accomplished.
