Son Heung-min's 'gumshoe' Pape Sarr, 21, is Tottenham's new 'growth engine' this season.

He was the 'unfinished business'. Saar, a former player of French Ligue 1 side Metz, arrived at Tottenham in August 2021 and left shortly afterward. He returned last season.

But he spent more time on the bench than on the field. Sarr made just 11 appearances in the English Premier League (EPL). He started just two of them.

He was expected to be loaned out ahead of this season. However, once Enze Postecoglou took over, things changed. He played in all 10 of Tottenham's EPL games.

Nine starts and one substitute appearance. After playing just 211 minutes in the EPL last season, Sarr has already played 713 minutes this season. He has carved out a spot in the defensive midfield alongside Yves Bissouma. 카지노사이트가이드

Sarr scored his first goal for Tottenham since joining the club on August 19 against Manchester United (2-0 win). He currently has one goal and one assist.

He has been an energizing presence for the team, hugging Son Heung-min from behind. Even when she is scolded by Son for being late with her crosses, she responds with an affectionate smile.

Sarr is hard to dislike. The Senegalese international has been nominated for the African Footballer of the Year award and is a hot topic of conversation.

'Football London' reported on the 3rd (Korean time) that 'Tottenham acquired Sarr from Metz in France in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of £14.6 million (approximately KRW 23.5 billion). He is currently valued at £30.5 million (approximately 490 million won) by Transfermarkt, but Tottenham believe he is worth much more.

Postecoglou also recognized the importance of Sarr's presence. At the press conference against Chelsea on the 2nd, he said, "The great thing about him is that he can do three things at once when he runs and plays. "I think it helps just to have him on the pitch," he said, "because he has tremendous ability and he brings energy in all different areas. He can play six, eight, 10 and even fullback at times with ease. That's not easy at all."

Postecoglu also praised Sarr: "He can only get better with experience, sometimes his decision-making is a bit hasty, but if you look at where he is in his career, what he offers us is huge."
