China to face North Korea in case of victory in Korea-Japan match and North Korea in case of defeat
South Korea will face China if it beats Japan, and North Korea if it loses to Japan.
The North Korean women's basketball team faced China 44-100 in the semifinals of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games at Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, at 5 p.m. on the 3rd.
With this, North Korea is headed for the third-place match. China, on the other hand, advanced to the final. The South Korean women's basketball team, which will then face Japan, will compete with China if it wins and North Korea if it loses.
The gap between North Korea and China's performance was apparent as seen in the final score. China had a field goal success rate of 63% in the game, and the success rate of three-point shots reached 71%. On the other hand, North Korea shot 66 shots and scored only 17 points.
There was a bigger difference in rebounds. North Korea won only 25 rebounds, but China more than doubled to 52.
After losing the first quarter by a whopping 16 points, North Korea struggled by scoring 21 points in the second quarter. However, the first half ended 27-48 due to the already wide gap.
It was China's trend in the third and fourth quarters as well. In particular, North Korea remained at six points in the fourth quarter, while China scored 23 points, finishing with a final score of 44-100.
