 Park Yoon-jung 34, the coach of the women's national team, was appointed as the coach of the women's U20 national team.

The Korea Football Association KFA appointed Park Yoon-jung, the current coach of the women's national team, as the coach of the women's U20 national team on the 3rd.

As a result, Park, who was born in 1989, became the third female national team coach and the youngest female national team head coach in history.

Coach Park began his leadership career as a coach at Yeoju University in 2016 after playing for Seoul City Hall in the WK League, Chungbuk Sports Toto currently Sejong Sports Toto, and Albirex Niigata in Japan. Since then, he has served as a coach at Pohang Girls' High School, his alma mater, and has been a full-time KFA leader since 2019, serving as a coach for the women's U17 and 20 national teams and experiencing the 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup.

Since December last year, he has coached the women's A team led by head coach Colin Bell and participated in the 2023 FIFA Australia and New Zealand Women's World Cups.

In the future, Park will also serve as the coach of the U20 national team and the coach of the A national team.

With Park's appointment, the women's U20 national team will be newly formed with the goal of participating in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia in September next year.

In order to participate in the World Cup, she must be in the top three at the Asian Football Confederation AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup in Uzbekistan in March next year. Coach Ko Hyun-bok, former KFA leader, goalkeeper coach Kim Dae-hwan, and physical coach Lee Keo-sung will assist coach Park Yoon-jung.

Thirty-one players under the age of 19 were selected for the first convocation list, including Bae Ye-bin Wideok University, who was on the final list for the 2023 Women's World Cup, and Kim Se-yeon Chungju Yeseong Girls' High School, who recently participated in the preliminary round for the Paris Olympics.

After that, the number of entries will be reduced to 22, reconvened on November 24, and off-season training will be held in Uzbekistan until December 4. It will also play two friendly matches against the Uzbek women's U20 team on November 30 and December 3.
