The SSG Landers announced the appointment of Kim Jae-hyun, former LG Twins power enhancement coordinator, as the new head coach.

SSG searched for candidates from a variety of positions, focusing on leadership that fits the direction of the organization, competence as a manager, ability to communicate internally and externally, including the players, and understanding of SSG's team culture. In the process of reviewing the candidates, we decided that Mr. Kim was the best person for the job.

SSG believes that Kim not only has years of field experience and a strong understanding of front-of-house operations, but also has extensive knowledge and insight into baseball, which will enable him to fulfill his role as general manager.

He also experienced the process of building the team's dynasty through remodeling as a captain during his time with the SK Wyverns, and his experience in implementing development directions and systems as a power enhancement coordinator was seen as a great strength. During the interview process, his sober diagnosis of the team's situation and vision for the future direction of the club in preparation for the Cheongna era were impressive. In particular, Kim's love for baseball, respect for baseball people, and value for fans were highly valued, and he was selected as the head coach. 먹튀검증

After graduating from Shinil High School, Kim played for the LG Twins before joining the SK Wyverns as a free agent after the 2004 season. He won a Golden Glove as a designated hitter in his first year with the team, led the team as captain the following year, and was named the Korean Series Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the 2007 season. He was a key member of the SK dynasty, combining his baseball skills with leadership to help the team win three Korean Series titles.

Since retiring after the 2010 season, he has served as a hitting coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Yomiuri Giants, Hanwha Eagles, and the national team, as well as a baseball commentator, KBO technical committee member, and LG Twins power-enhancement coordinator. Through his experience in the field, front office, and broadcast commentary, he has seen baseball from a variety of perspectives, expanding his understanding and network of players and baseball officials.

"I am honored to be appointed as the head of SSG, but I also feel a great sense of responsibility as I am taking on a huge task at a crucial time when the club is undergoing a remodeling process. I will do my best to bridge the gap between the field and the front office so that the club can achieve good results. Personally, I have a lot of great memories with the team, and it's exciting to be back in Incheon after 13 years. I will do my best to make SSG a team that will continue to be loved by the fans," he said.
