A woman who was detained for allegedly leaking videos of national soccer player Hwang Ui-jo (31-Norwich City)'s private life was found to be his brother-in-law.

According to police, the Cyber Crime Squad of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is investigating a woman, A, who threatened Hwang Ui-jo by posting videos of his private life on social media (SNS). The police are investigating how Ms. A distributed the video of Hwang's private life.

During the investigation, police confirmed that Ms. A is Hwang's brother-in-law. Ms. A has been acting as Hwang's manager alongside his brother. He is the closest confidant who accompanied Hwang when he was living abroad in France, Greece, and England.

In June, Ahn created a household account on social media and posted intimate photos and videos of Hwang and several women. The posts went viral on social media, causing secondary damage.

In a statement, Hwang's legal representative (Law Firm Daehwan) said, "The videos were on Hwang's personal cell phone, which was lost (allegedly stolen) in Greece in November 2022, and are about Hwang's private life, which is extremely intimate. Please consider that the so-called 'killing of Hwang Ui-jo' is being carried out in a very malicious manner, with not only the video but also the private conversations Hwang had with his acquaintances being used for blackmail."

"Initially, this case started with Hwang Ui-jo as the victim of the video leak, and this fact remains unchanged today. Hwang Ui-jo feels deep regret and responsibility for his former lover who was harmed by this incident, and he is sincerely heartbroken. I pledge to sincerely cooperate with the investigation and will do my best to reveal the truth," he added. 온라인카지노

During the suspect interrogation (warrant substantive examination) before the arrest of Mr. A on the 16th, Mr. Hwang expressed his intention that he did not want Mr. A to be punished. On the 18th, the police took him in as a suspect for investigation. Hwang's cell phone is under forensic investigation.

Hwang said, "(The private videos) were agreed upon between the couple at the time. I do not have the video in my possession, and I have not leaked it at all." However, the victim said, "I never agreed to take the video. I expressed my unwillingness to be filmed and demanded that it be deleted immediately after filming. But Hwang Ui-jo ignored me," the victim countered.

Meanwhile, Hwang came on as a substitute in the second Asian qualifying match for the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America at the Universiade Sports Center in Shenzhen, China, on June 21. He was substituted for Cho Kyu-sung in the 27th minute with South Korea leading 2-0. S outh Korea went on to win the match 3-0. South Korean national team coach Jürgen Klinsmann told reporters at the press conference, "We are aware of the controversy (regarding Hwang Ui-jo). Until we have clear facts, it's just a matter of investigation. Even if there is a problem right now, it doesn't mean he is guilty. Until the facts are clear, I hope Hwang will score goals for us."
