Grand Korea Leisure (GLK) announced yesterday that as  the number of visitors to three Seven Luck foreign-only casinos in Korea exceeded 1 million.

According to information obtained by Business Korea, the number of visitors increased from January to May, while the number of foreign visitors to Seven Luck Casino dropped sharply from 3,200 in  2,500 in July after South Korea confirmed a confirmed case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome. But the recovery accelerated, averaging 3,500 visitors a day in August after the government declared an end to the outbreak .

The approximately 12% year-over-year increase in visitors is attributed to the business of regular customers replacing VIP visits.

Lim Byung-soo, CEO of GLK, a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "Unlike other casinos, Seven Luck has been trying to establish itself as a leisure space for not only VIP customers but also ordinary travelers." "This will be the result of continuous efforts to provide the best environment and service to customers as accessed by Business Korea."

Seven Luck's Korean branches include Gangnam branch in Seoul, Hilton in Millennium Seoul, and Lotte in Busan.
