Bae Jae-joong topped Group B with a sweep of both qualifying matches at the 2024 Dasarang Bae Community Cup Good Together LEVEL UP basketball tournament.

Bae Jae-joong, who belonged to Group B along with Joo Sung-joong and Huimun-joong, showed excellent teamwork under coach Shin Hak-soo and succeeded in winning two consecutive games with his promised moves.

This tournament does not involve third graders, and all participating athletes are composed of first and second graders. It is a sport that has to produce the result of winning or losing after fierce competition, but all of them did not seem to put much importance on the competition.

In particular, Bae Jae-joong did not rely much on the skills of the third graders in the recent official competition, and he is playing well with the lower grades. Because the lower grades had accumulated experience, the first and second graders of Bae Jae-joong were able to perform well in the two preliminary games.

In particular, Jang Jeong, who carried the ball as a point guard, led the team to victory by playing hard throughout the offense and defense.

After the game, Jang said, "Although we have won two consecutive games, we felt that we needed to do better as we were unfamiliar with playing among ourselves. If we practice well, we will be able to achieve better results."

Jang Jung-eun, who continued, added regret, "Originally, the defense was fine and the fastball was developed coolly, but this was not enough today."

Bae Jae-joong offered Jang Hyun-jung, Kim Gun-hee, Kim Gun-woo and Kim Tae-hyun as his starting lineup. As you can guess from the name, Jang Hyun and Jang Jung, Kim Gun-hee and Kim Gun-woo are twin brothers.

Since we have been together outside the court for a long time, we can definitely get along better from a breathing perspective. Some players even say that they know what kind of play we want to play just by looking into our eyes. How did you feel.

Jang Jeong-eun said, "There are many difficult or confusing parts like defense, but I think I'm having fun doing those things. As you said, it's natural that we have good harmony."

Jang also played the role of Bae Jae-joong's scorer at the 49th KFA Long Term Competition recently held in Yeonggwang, South Jeolla Province. Although he is now in the second grade, he also played the most minutes in his team.

Already, Jangjung's shoulders are getting heavier, but he wasn't feeling much pressure.

Jang Jeong-eun said, "Ace is always a heavy and difficult position. However, as I get used to the current situation, I just want to work harder."

Jang Jeong was a fifth grader in elementary school, and started playing basketball belatedly. His ball power was not that high, but his basketball skills are not proportional to the amount of time he spent catching a basketball. His passes, dribbling and accurate shooting were by far the best among the guard positions at the event.

His ability to grow so quickly was supported by bleeding efforts, advice from coach Bae Jae-joong, and endless practice.

In response, Jang Jeong said, "I don't have any videos I enjoy, but I look up basketball videos every day. I take lessons and go to the gym every day to practice. The coach always tells me to look forward when I grab my ball. Especially in defense, he emphasizes taking away defense. I am playing with that in mind."
