Lee Kang-in (PSG), who scored his first attacking point in the French Ligue 1, was recognized for his performance by being voted as the Team of the Week in Europe's five major leagues.

Sports360 Football, a global soccer media outlet, revealed the best 11 players selected by fans through social media on Jan. 1 (Korean time), saying, "This is the team of the week in Europe chosen by you."

For each position, the media voted for the players who performed the best in Europe over the past week. The players who received the most votes compared to their competitors were named to the European Team of the Week.

The nominees all play in Europe's five major leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1), but Lee Kang-in, who plays for Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), stood out as he earned a spot in the top 11.

Lee made his first Ligue 1 start in the 10th round of the 2023/24 French Ligue 1 season against Brest at the Stade Francis Loblé in Brest, France, on March 29. Lee scored his first offensive point since joining Ligue 1 in a 3-2 win.

After taking the lead in the 16th minute through a mid-range strike from Zaire-Emerick, PSG doubled their advantage in the 28th minute through Mbappe. Lee Kang-in helped set up Mbappe's goal with a fantastic pass to earn himself an attacking point.

On the counter-attack, Lee spotted Mbappe charging forward and delivered an out-and-out pass to Mbappe with precision. After receiving Lee's pass, Mbappe was quick to get into the penalty box and rattled the net with a low, quick shot. Lee's passing ability and Mbappe's finishing ability shone through.

After the goal, Mbappe thanked Lee for the great pass, pointing his finger directly at him. Lee immediately hugged Mbappe to celebrate his goal.

The two-goal lead put PSG in danger of conceding a late equalizer to Brest, but Mbappe put them back in front in the 39th minute from the penalty spot to secure a 3-2 victory and all three points.

After the game, Lee was praised for his offensive contribution. According to soccer statistics site FotMob, Lee, who started on the right wing in a 4-2-4 formation before being replaced by Vitinha in the 29th minute, had a 90% passing success rate (28/31), one chance created, two shots on target, and a 67% dribbling success rate (2/3).

French outlet Foot Mercato gave him a 5.5 rating, the second-highest after multi-goal scorer Mbappe (7), saying, "Lee has always played fair and his technical quality is still very impressive," and "He played a crucial role in setting up Mbappe's goal and touched the ball a lot, but his contribution diminished in the second half." 카지노사이트가이드

Sports360Football then voted for Lee and Kosovo winger Edon Zegrova (LOSC Lille) in the left midfield position in a 4-4-2 formation when selecting the European Team of the Week. Zegrova, who plays in the same Ligue 1 league as Lee, scored two assists in a 2-0 win over AS Monaco in the 10th round, but Lee was selected as the best 11 as he received 91% of the votes.

In addition to Lee, 2023 Golden Boy Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), who scored a multi-goal performance in the season's first El Clasico against Barcelona to lead a 2-1 comeback, and 2023 Ballon d'Or runner-up Elling Holland (Manchester City), who scored two goals and provided an assist in the Manchester derby, were also named to the European Team of the Week for their performances.

The goalkeeper spot went to Andre Onana (Manchester United), who made 10 saves in the 0-3 loss to Manchester City.

Earlier, Lee was named to the French Ligue 1 Team of the Week for Week 10 of the 2023/24 season by soccer statistician Fúscorecard on March 30. After scoring his PSG debut goal in the UEFA Champions League group stage match against AC Milan on March 26, and then adding an assist in the league to record his second consecutive attacking point, Lee was named to the Team of the Week by various media outlets, marking his best week since joining PSG.
