In an era when paper newspapers are being shunned, there has been an unprecedented run on newspaper prices. There are analysts who say that this phenomenon is particularly driven by young people, who seem to have accepted newspapers as a form of fangirling (fan activity) merchandise.

As of the 13th, LG Twins won the 2023 Korean Series and the 2023 Korean Baseball Organization regular season title for the first time in 29 years.

It's been a long time coming, so every little souvenir that fans can get to remember their Korean Series victory means a lot. Given that the win was just announced, it would take time for the team to produce a souvenir, so fans took notice of the sports newspapers that featured the news on the front page.

The 14th edition of the sports newspaper, which featured a photo of LG's victory ceremony, is already sold out at convenience stores and is being sold on second-hand sites for a small fortune. 바카라사이트

On a second-hand trading site, newspapers containing this day's news are selling for 5,000 won to 30,000 won per copy as of the 15th, or 5,000 to 7,000 won for a batch of multiple copies. In particular, newspapers with unwrinkled front page photos and newspapers with LG Group advertisements are considered popular.

LG fan A, who bought the only remaining copy of the Sports Seoul newspaper at a convenience store on his way to work, said, "It's 16 pages, but only LG-related articles are on pages 1 to 6, so LG fans will try to collect it." "If I collect a lot, I will share it," he said.

Another fan, Mr. B, said on the 14th, "I've been trying to get a sports newspaper since the morning, but there are only a limited number of places that sell paper newspapers, and it's too hard to find if LG fans have collected them all. It's good that it's popular, but I've managed to get a few newspapers, but it's too hard to get the Sports Seoul newspaper."

Earlier, on March 4, Sports Seoul published a photo of players celebrating on the front page with the headline "LG wins regular season title after 29 years". After the newspaper was sold for a fortune on second-hand trading sites, Sports Seoul distributed an additional 2,000 copies of the newspaper, including additional printings and a special edition.

Sports Seoul produced 2,000 special editions, including 1,000 copies of a reprint of the Oct. 4 edition and 1,000 copies of a special edition featuring the front page of the 1994 championship. The special edition was distributed at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on the afternoon of October 6.
