Kim Yeon-kyung (35-volleyball), Kim So-young (31-badminton), Park In-bee (35-golf), Oh Jin-hyuk (42-archery), Lee Dae-hoon (31-taekwondo), and Jin Jong-oh (44-taekwondo) are the IOC candidates.

On Tuesday, the Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) held an IOC Athlete Evaluation Committee at the Olympic Parktel in Songpa-gu, Seoul, where the five athletes competed, with Oh being the only one of the six who did not attend.

Oh is currently in France due to national training for the Hangzhou Asian Games.

"I'm excited because it's an interview to select someone to represent South Korea, but I'm also nervous because it's different from the Olympics," Jin said, adding, "I prepared harder because I've been rejected once before."

"I spent half my life, 20 years, playing for the national team. Now I'm dreaming of a life supporting athletes."

Women's volleyball standout Kim Yeon-kyung was also uncharacteristically nervous.

"I don't know if I've ever been so nervous," she said, "I've been preparing and studying a lot, and I'll talk well in the interview."

"The influence of sports is greater than other athletes," said Kim, who is a world-class world star, and expressed her ambition to become an IOC Athlete Commissioner for Korean sports.

Lee Dae-hoon, the first interviewee of the day, was also nervous. "I'm not as nervous as I thought I would be," he said, "but I'm nervous because it's my first official interview, even though I've prepared myself with image training as much as possible."

Park In-bee (GOLF), a candidate for the IOC Athletes' Commission, talks to reporters before the evaluation committee for the IOC Athletes' Commission at the Olympic Parktel Korea Sports Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea, on Tuesday.

"I'm nervous because it's been a long time since I've been in public," said golf queen Park In-bee, who gave birth in April.

Park, who is considered a "prepared candidate," introduced herself in fluent English and drew attention. "I am honored to be here," she said, expressing confidence that "I am the right person for the IOC Athletes Commission."

National badminton player Kim So-young said, "I'm honored to be challenged by such a great group of athletes," adding, "I've never been to an Olympic final, but I'm just as nervous."

Meanwhile, after the five candidates had closed-door interviews with the evaluation committee, the KOC will select three candidates. On the 14th, a senate meeting will be held to recommend the final candidates. 토토사이트 It will then hold an athlete committee on the 16th and 17th to decide on the final candidates.

The list of finalists will be submitted to the IOC in late August.
