The entirely flat course starts from the north of Marina di Grosseto, at La Fiumara, from where it is reachable through the urban roads of the hamlet. The track then heads north-west across the northern part of the Pineta of Tombolo, with parallel development on the same stretch of the State Route 322 in Collacchie (now Provincial Road No. 158).
