Career

Telis signed with the Texas Rangers as an international free agent in 2007 as a shortstop and was moved to catcher. Telis was called up to the majors for the first time on August 25, 2014. He appeared in 18 games for the Rangers, collecting 8 rbi's in 68 at bats.
On July 31, 2015, he was traded to the Miami Marlins, along with Cody Ege, for Sam Dyson.
