Tom walsh edged out the competition to take the diamond trophy back to new zealand
Tom Walsh was an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Dunnamaggin and was a member of the Kilkenny senior inter-county team from 1957 until 1962. With Kilkenny Walsh won an All-Ireland title and three Leinster titles. His brother Jim 'Link' Walsh also played with Kilkenny.
