J. Thomas "Tom" Coleman, Jr. (September 8, 1928 – June 4, 2014) was an American politician and businessman.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, Coleman served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Coleman received his bachelor's degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and was a physics teacher and football coach. Coleman was the owner of Bonitz of Georgia, a construction company. Coleman served on the Savannah City Council and chairman of the Chatham County, Georgia County Council. He served on the Georgia Board of Regents and Georgia Department of Transportation. From 1981 until 1995, Coleman served in the Georgia State Senate. He died in Savannah, Georgia.
