Thomas "Tom" Barton (circa-1 February 1883 — circa-1 March 1958 (aged 75)) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1900s, playing at representative level for England, and at club level for St. Helens (captain), as a fullback, Wing, Centre, or loose forward/lock, i.e. number 1, 2 or 5, 3 or 4, or, 13.

Tom Barton won a cap for England while at St. Helens in 1906 against Other Nationalities.

Club career

Tom Barton was considered a "Probable" for the 1910 Great Britain Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand, but ultimately he was not selected for the tour.

Genealogical information

Tom Barton was the younger brother of the St. Helens, and Castleford Fullback of the 1890s, Jack Barton.[1]
