Television Editor

Tim Porter is a British television editor, best known for his work on the HBO series, Game of Thrones, as well as several other British television series.

In 2016 he was recognised in Variety's Below The Line Impact Report as, 'an editor capable of building suspense and excruciating drama.' He won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series for his work on Game of Thrones, season 6, episode 9, 'Battle of the Bastards', directed by Miguel Sapochnik. For this episode he 'sifted through nearly 100 hours of footage to create a seamless battle scene.' He also won the 2016 HPA award, and the American Cinema Editor's Eddie award for the same episode.

In 2015, he received Emmy HPA and Eddie nominations for his editing of 'Game of Thrones season 5, episode 9, 'Hardhome', again directed by Sapochnik.

He is a member of American Cinema Editors.
