Ticket Ghana is n online ticketing company that expanded to become an online travel agency based in Accra, Ghana. It was founded in the year 2009 by a young Ghanaian born Cypriot businessman Basil Anthony.
History
The company was founded to sell tickets online for entertainers in Ghana. It failed due to the unpopularity of online purchases in Ghana. The event business in Ghana never gained its online presence making the company expand to another business venture; the sale of airfare tickets. However the increase of internet usage with social media gave the company more opportunities to offer social media marketing to companies and event organisers. The company spearheaded the popular Sunday night event called Chicken N Beer in its inception. It was a business partnership with the Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone in his club in Accra. The company expanded in 2015 to an online travel agency with future plans of becoming an airline operating company offering both local and international air travel options.
