Thrissur Urban Agglomeration (TUA) is a city area consisting of city of Thrissur and its adjoining Municipalities and Panchayats. It has a metropolitan population of 1,854,783 including 876,049 males and 978,734 females in Census 2011 and in Census 2001, it had a population of 330,122. The area consists of Thrissur Municipal Corporation and five Municipalities of Wadakanchery, Kunnamkulam, Guruvayur, Chavakkad, Irinjalakuda, and Kodungallur.
