Thomas Chazhikadan, a former bank manager and chartered accountant, has been the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala for the Ettumanoor constituency from 1991 to 2001. He is a member of the Kerala Congress (M). He was the elder brother of politician Babu Chazhikkadan, who was the original candidate from Ettumanoor, but died of thunderstorm during election campaign in 1991.
