Thervoy Kandigai is a village in Tiruvallur District in Tamil Nadu state of India. It has about 5000 inhabitants, mainly being part of Scheduled Tribes and/or Dalit. The village is about 50 km North of Chennai. Michelin intends to build a tyre factory in Thervoy Kandigai. It is planned, that the factory will start to operate in November 2012.

It is thought, that there are going to be 1500 jobs. The first building has been opened officially in May 2011.
A Thervoy Kandigai Industrial Park exists.
Michelin has invested 40 billions there.
The factory endangers the rainforests being the livelihood of the population.
