Theodore Douglas Robinson (April 28, 1883 – April 10, 1934) was an American politician from New York, and a member of the Roosevelt family. He was the eldest nephew of President Theodore "T.R." Roosevelt, Jr. (1858–1919).

Life

Theodore was born in New York City to Douglas Robinson, Jr. and Corinne Roosevelt (1861–1933). He lived in Herkimer County, New York.

Robinson was Chairman of the Progressive Party in the State of New York.

He was a Republican member of the New York State Senate in 1917 and 1918 (both 32nd D.); and again from 1921 to 1924, sitting in the 144th, 145th, 146th and 147th New York State Legislatures (all four 35th D.).

He was Assistant Secretary of the Navy from November 1924 to 1929. He married Helen Rebecca Roosevelt (1881–1962), daughter of James Roosevelt "Rosey" Roosevelt, half-brother of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Helen Schermerhorn Astor from the Astor family.
