"The Warrior" is a song by American rock band Scandal, from the album Warrior. The song was written by Holly Knight ("Love Is a Battlefield") and Nick Gilder ("Hot Child in the City"). The song went to number one in Canada and number seven in the United States, as well as number one on the Mainstream Rock chart in the US, in addition to winning a BMI Airplay Award in 1984. The music video of the song depicts the apocalypse in a warehouse.

  • The song is played at Yankee Stadium during occasional tributes to former player & current broadcaster Paul O'Neill on the Jumbo Screen due to George Steinbrenner giving him the nickname "The Warrior"
  • The song was featured in the Family Guy episode "Petarded" (season #4, episode #6), in which Stewie was featured in an iPod commercial dancing to this song.
  • The song appears as a master track in the video games Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s and Rock Band 4.
  • The song was featured on the video game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, on fictional radio station Flash FM.
