The Stay Lames were a Vancouver, British Columbia punk-rock five-piece band. Formed in 2003, the group performed throughout Western Canada as well as California, Oregon and Washington. Their indie and post-punk musical style won them acclaim in the Canadian music scene, and the band garnered radio play throughout Canada.

The Stay Lames, who have not performed since 2006, registered one song on the Billboard North American top 100 chart. "Lower Middle Classy", from the band's only full album, Notre Pain Quotidien (Our Daily Bread) peaked at number 86 in June 2005. Two of the band members have since joined another successful Canadian punk rock band.

The band's lead singer, Matthew Whiteman, was also a professional skateboarder who skated for Skull Skates, Baker/Altamont, and Low Card Magazine. The Stay Lames' music was featured in two of Low Card Magazine's videos. As well, a line of Stay Lame apparel was created in conjunction with Low Card Magazine and the band.
