The Rundown is an Asian pre-market business news program aired Monday through Friday on CNBC Asia from 0600 to 0700 Singapore-Hong Kong Time. Additionally, it is aired Sunday through Thursday in the United States on CNBC World from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time). In Europe the program is aired on Sunday (11:00 p.m to midnight), and on Monday (Midnight to 1:00 a.m.) during DST.

About the show

The Rundown, which debuted March 31, 2014, is broadcast from CNBC Asia's Singapore Exchange studios and is presented by Akiko Fujita. It is one of the two programs that replaced Cash Flow, with Street Signs being the other. Previously, the first hour of Asia Squawk Box was transmitted in this hour, but the aforementioned changes saw Asia Squawk Box move to a one-hour later slot.

As of February 9, 2015 (when CNBC Asia updated its graphics package with new titles based on the US version), the theme music for this program is the same as Street Signs and CNBC US' Squawk Alley.

On December 24, 2015, Adam Bakhtiar left CNBC Asia, leaving Pauline Chiou as the sole presenter of The Rundown. On October 3, 2016, Akiko Fujita (previously a correspondent), replaced Chiou as the show's presenter after the latter was moved to Capital Connection.
