The Propylaeum (John W. Schmidt House), also known as the Schmidt-Schaf House, is a historic home located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1890-1891, and is a three-story, Tudor Revival style red brick building with limestone trim. It sits on a full basement and has a slate hipped roof with gables. It features a wraparound verandah, square corner tower, and porte cochere. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
