The Massacre of Rabaa Between Narration & Documentation is an e-book documenting alleged eyewitness testimonies, pictures and names of several protesters and rioters involved in the clashes and collateral damage during the August 2013 Cairo sit-ins dispersal, specifically the dispersal in Rabaa al-Adawiya Square, Nasr City in eastern Cairo, Egypt on August 14, 2013.

The first edition of the book was in Arabic, which was translated later and published in English. A second edition was also published in Arabic. This book has been relied on, largely by Islamists supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood, to determine the number of rioters and protesters killed during the violent clashes.

Contents of the book

  • An introduction entitled "The First Flow of Blood... a Paper," referring to the paper published by the Tamarod movement, a group that organized a massive uprising against Mohamed Morsi on June 30, 2013.
  • A chapter titled "Steadfastness in Dispersion Massacre" tells the testimonies of some alleged witnesses during the dispersal, supported by graphic pictures.
  • Another chapter that lists the personal information of 377 protesters and rioters who died in the dispersal plus pictures, followed by a table of names and addresses of the rest of protesters that died or allegedly died. The book mentions 802 protesters, despite the Health Ministry's official death toll being 595 protesters and 43 police officers.
  • Finally, the book ends with conclusions and references.
