The Lobby is the term to collectively describe the political journalists in the United Kingdom Houses of Parliament. The term is derived from the special access they are granted to the Members' Lobby
Currently 'the lobby is composed of 390 journalists, of whom just 11 are party political appointees. The membership is drawn from large media organisations such as the BBC or Sky (News), and smaller more specialist publications such as the East Anglian Daily Times.
