The Kulide o' Scope is a band that is the musical brainchild of guitarist/composser Shane Hutter. The aesthetic goal of the band was to push its music to the limits of creativity, leading to what many consider an unconventional form of song writing.

Band history

The band was formed originally called "Social Theory" in early 2005, but was later changed to The Kulide o' Scope of Reality, then later to The ulide o' Scope. The band released their first EP Live at Three-One-5 in Spring, 2005. The EP was a collection of live jams recorded at Studio 315 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Later in 2005 the band recorded its first full-length album When the Lotus Blossoms. The original members of the band have since disbanded, but band leader Shane Hutter continues to write and produce music under the band name.
