The Haumāna is an independent film directed by Keo Woolford and produced entirely by a Hawai'ian production company.
Plot
Jonny Kealoha, the host of a struggling lū'au show, becomes the successor of a high school hula class for boys when the former teacher dies. In the process of teaching them and preparing them for a significant cultural event, he becomes as much a student as he is a teacher, rediscovering the spiritual importance of the native culture he had abandoned.
