The Dragon's Blood (Italian: Sigfrido, also known as La leggenda dei Nibelunghi) is a 1957 Italian epic adventure film co-written and directed by Giacomo Gentilomo. It is loosely based on Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen.

    The film was notable at the time for the depiction of the dragon. This several metres long prop was created by Carlo Rambaldi, launching Rambaldi's career as a creature designer. Years later, Rambaldi moved to Hollywood, working in such films as King Kong (1976), Alien (1979), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Dune (1984) or Conan the Destroyer (1984), among others.
