The Degrees of Knowledge (French: Distinguer pour unir, ou Les Degrés du Savoir) is a 1932 book by philosopher Jacques Maritain, his major contribution to epistemology. It was first published in English translation in 1959.
Scholarly reception
Philosopher Adolf Grünbaum argued in Philosophical Problems of Space and Time (1963) that Maritain presents an unsound and incorrect interpretation of the nature of geometry.
