The Deal is a novel by Canadian author, Elle Kennedy. The novel is the first book in the author's New Adult series, Off Campus. The novel follows the relationship between Hannah Wells, a college senior, who Garret Graham, the overly confident ice hockey captain.
Plot
Hannah is crushing hard on a star football player, but is carrying some major baggage from a previous traumatic event. Hannah, a Music major, finds herself in the same class as Garret, who is flunking. Garret, need to pass the course to stay on the hockey team, begs Hannah to tutor him and will help her catch her major crush - despite having feelings for her. Hannah eventually agrees and helps Garrett pass the class by helping him studying. During their tutoring sessions, Garrett and Hannah find themselves becoming close friends and eventual lovers. The novel follows the course of their relationship from being classmates to friends to romantic partners.
