As of January 1, 2011, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reported 55,750 members in 12 stakes 128 congregations (94 wards and 34 branches), three missions, and two temples in Illinois.

Stakes are headquartered in Buffalo Grove, Champaign, Chicago, Joliet, Naperville, Nauvoo, O'Fallon, Peoria, Rockford, Schaumburg, Springfield and Wilmette.
