The Bagpipe Society is an organisation based in Britain which aims to promote the bagpipe revival. Formed in 1986, it is concerned with bagpipe traditions from around the world as well as the bagpipes of Britain itself. The Bagpipe Society publishes a quarterly journal called Chanter which contains articles about the bagpipe's history, music and playing as well as various reviews. The society holds an annual gathering in England called the Blowout, as well coordinating the International Bagpipe Day.
