The Artisan is a Las Vegas non-gaming hotel boutique and ultra-lounge. Its 64 rooms are covered from floor to ceiling with eclectic art and reproductions of world-famous paintings.

History

The Artisan opened in 1979 as a Travelodge. In December 2001, the property was purchased and renamed 'The Artisan' and overhauled. At that point, the Artisan started putting artwork from artists such as Cézanne, Chagall, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Renoir, Van Gogh and others all over the property.

The Artisan was featured on a 2007 episode of the A&E TV show Criss Angel Mindfreak and multiple episodes of the Cinemax series Sin City Diaries.

In 2008, Las Vegas Citylife magazine named the Artisan lounge as the best bar in Las Vegas.

Even though the property got good reviews and had a loyal clientele, the property faced cash flow and maintenance problems and went into bankruptcy. The property agreed to foreclosure in December 2009. The Siegel Group purchased the property in January 2010 and has been working to correct all outstanding issues. In May 2010, The Artisan started having themed-invite only pool parties.

On June 7, 2010, Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Scott Disick stayed at The Artisan to celebrate Disick's birthday.
