Thaumatopsis bolterellus is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Fernald in 1887. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from New Mexico and Texas.

The wingspan is about 22 mm. The forewings are white with a brownish-grey edged costa, rows of dull stripes between the veins and two reddish-brown crosslines. The hindwings are dull white with a pale brownish-grey terminal line.

The larvae probably feed on grasses.
