Thamizhz Thiyagarajan is an Indian film director worked in Tamil cinema. Recognized for his Donna Short Film, produced by Rex Pictures, for which he was Selected In Cannes Film Festival - Short Film Corner. He is also well known for being an assistant for director Aanaivari Sridhar.

Personal Life and Career

Thamizhz was born in Jayankondam in Tamil Nadu. He completed Civil engineering and worked for an MNC in chennai.From his early days,he always had a passion for film making and has more inspiration on Cinema of France. This interest made him to quit his job and intends him to direct his own short films focusing various human life events.

He began his cinema career at the age of 24 and the debut short movie AARIYAR earned very good reputation for him at the cinema industry. The film portrayed an husband's struggle to save his pregnant wife.The heart-breaking story taken from the reality of Tamil Eelam which was directed and produced by himself under his own banner Rex Pictures. Aariyar awarded as the most viewed short film and nominated in various film festivals. The film nominated in DBICA Short Film Festival - 2015 which was conducted by Don Bosco Institute of Communication Arts.The film also nominated in Chennai Women's International Film Festival under Tamil short film categories and also screened at PVR theaters.

His second short movie named "84 mm PSA" was an awareness movie for adults depicting the health hazard in smoking cigarettes.This film is also produced under his own banner REX Pictures.

His third movie "DONNA" is an art film which depicts the feminist nature and the ego between lovers.The film being produced by Rex pictures was nominated in FESTIVAL DE CANNES under Short film corner .Without dialogue and Music, the film got appraisal from all type of audiences in Festival de Cannes.
