text+kritik is a literary journal in which the most important German-language writers, primarily from the worlds of literary scholarship and literary criticism, have their works analysed and presented by fellow writers.

It was founded in 1963 by Heinz Ludwig Arnold who edited it from then until his death in 2011. At the time of the first edition, which appeared in 1963 and was dedicated to Günter Grass, the editorial team comprised Lothar Baier, Gerd Hemmerich, Jochen Meyer, Wolf Wondratschek and Heinz Ludwig Arnold himself. The journal is published four times per year in Munich by edition text + kritik. Co-editors are Hugo Dittberner, Norbert Hummelt, Hermann Korte, Steffen Martus, Axel Ruckaberle, Michael Scheffel, Claudia Stockinger and Michael Töteberg.

Each edition is focused on a different theme, which usually means it deals with one specific writer. However, in 2013 text+kritik celebrated its fiftieth birthday with a special volume on the "Future of Literature".
