Terebrellidae is an extinct family of fossil sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the superfamily Cerithoidea. However, Terebrellidae is not a valid name.

  • Trypetes Tomlin, 1929 is a nomen novum for Terebrella Andreae, 1887. Trypetes Tomlin, 1929 is also a homonym, so another nomen novum has been established: Diatrypesis Tomlin, 1929 is a nomen novum for Trypetes Tomlin, 1929.
  • Kaim (2004) classified the genus Diatrypesis in an uncertain family within the Cerithioidea.
