In Japanese mythology, the tenson kōrin (天孫降臨) is the descent of Amaterasu's grandson Ninigi from heaven (Takama-ga-hara) to Ashihara no Nakatsukuni in Japan. Following the tenson kōrin Konohanasakuya-hime was born.
